We’ve been claiming unofficial records for most vert skied in a single season and the only thing we’ve learned is how the Guinness World Record is far from ‘official.’
After publishing a piece that claimed a Killington skier had just grabbed the ‘unofficial’ record for most vert skied in a single season with 6+ million, we were promptly alerted that the record in fact lay in Whitefish, MT. Today we are corrected again as another legend has sprung forth from the shadows. With 8.6 million vert skied in a single season at Sun Valley, A former ski patroller, Neal Holmes is the new favorite in the vert race.
Which got us thinking that it’s high time we stop claiming records and just give a big ole, ‘hell yeah’ to these true ski bums.
