Study Shows That Snowboarders Are WAY MORE Likely To Get Injured Than Skiers

A new study by Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School shows that snowboarders are up to 3 times more likely to sustain injuries on the mountain than skiers. What this really means is our comment section is about to get LIT!

The Deccan Chronicle first reported on the study, which goes on to say that the most common physical ailments sustained by skiers/riders involve the “spine, pelvis, shoulder, wrist, hands, knees, foot and ankle.”

Lead researcher, Brett D. Owens went on to explain that the prevalence of these injuries are highly related to one’s ego? Who woulda guessed? Everyone… That’s who.

The study also says that skiers are predisposed to lower body injuries while snowboarders are more likely to hurt their wrists and shoulders. The team of researches compiled a list of things you can do to mitigate the chances of an on-hill ski injury.
