On Friday, a worker at Loveland Ski Area was killed when he got caught up in a “magic carpet” lift he was working on.

Investigators from the Denver office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are trying to determine what exactly happened.

What is known is that the employee got caught up in equipment related to the snow level lift. An autopsy is scheduled Saturday. John Sellers, the marketing director at Loveland Ski Area said in statement that “Ski Patrol was in the area and responded immediately.”

Our deepest condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends as well as the entire Loveland community.
