The east coast is welcoming the winter season in a big way and Jay Peak is at the middle of the pow party.

While they’re being joined by the likes of Smuggler’s Notch, the Jay Cloud continues to deliver more snowfall than anywhere else in the region. Pretty standard.
And following Thanksgiving, the Jay Peak faithful have a lot to be thankful for. Snow is currently forecasted through the end of the weekend and ropes should begin to drop faster than a Texan at altitude.

Conditions Report:
If you haven’t heard, we pulled down 2-4” from the Jay Cloud before noon yesterday, and another 3-5” was added to this morning’s report. Our 24-hour total stands at 5-7”, and more snow is falling now.
Down the pipeline, we’re looking even better. Our mountain forecaster (who is notorious for underreporting) is calling for snow starting tomorrow night, and lasting into Monday. That should aid in expanding our terrain on both Stateside AND Tramside.
Ski and ride today on 23 trails serviced by 3 lifts. The Jet Triple started loading at 9:00 AM, while the Taxi Quad and Stateside Carpet both started moving at 8:30. Last chair for all lifts is at 4:00 PM.
Tramside Base Area is coming online starting tomorrow, and we’ll be spinning the Metro Quad, servicing additional beginner terrain. In addition to the Tramside base area, our Snowmakers are still blasting man-made snow onto Lower Quai and Goat Run. With these trails done, we’ll be opening the Green Mountain Flyer soon.
