This footage was captured by a group of firefighters busy at work fighting the ongoing wildfires in Portugal. Also known as a ‘fire whirl,’ this phenomenon is a result of ash, fire, and other debris being sucked up into a vortex of wind causing the fire to continue up and into the twister’s upper column.
