Fires continue to rage in Yosemite National Park today with some being forced to evacuate due to the growing inferno inside park boundaries.

According to ABC 30 Action News, the Railroad Fire has since forced visitors to the Tenaya Lodge and Fish Camp on the southern end of the national park to evacuate.
“Please be advised that Tenaya Lodge is currently evacuated due to the nearby Railroad Fire. Highway 41 south of Tenaya Lodge between Fish Camp and Oakhurst is currently closed.” – Tenaya Lodge Website
Other areas currently under evacuation are Sugar Pine and Sugar Pine Camp. All in all there are over 400 personnel on the ground trying to keep the these fires from spreading further. As of today, the Railroad fire is threatening 150 structures alone. There are currently 6 active wildfires in and around the Yosemite area as of today.

Yosemite Fire Update:
There are multiple fires burning in Yosemite National Park’s wilderness Smoke will be present due to a high pressure system which brings higher temperatures and lower relative humidities.
Thunderstorms are possible over the high country. Thunderstorms bring gusty winds and hazardous lightning.
Expect poor air quality and limited visibility due to fires in Yosemite. Avoid strenuous exercise outdoors and remain indoors when possible. All areas of Yosemite are open, but Chilnualna Falls trail and some others south of Glacier Point Road are closed.
