“The world’s first eco robot protecting reefs from lionfish. Designed to guard and protect Atlantic reefs from the invasive lionfish species. Support Fisherman and save the Environment!”

How cool is thing….The Guardian LF1 approaches the invasive lionfish and zaps it with metal electrodes but does not kill the fish. A thruster positioned in the main tube sucks up the animal into a vacuum chamber, where it can then be carried to the sea surface. Also notice how the electric current is localized to the target fish and the nearby fish are unaffected. So cool.

This machine started as a Kickstarter project and scheduled to start shipping around the world by July.
