A middle-aged Boulder resident died while skiing at Loveland this past Friday but so far the cause of death remains unknown.

The Boulder Daily Camera has since identified the deceased man as 59 year-old, Kevin Edwards of Boulder, CO. Edwards was reported missing during the early afternoon hours on Friday and members of ski patrol ultimately found the victim unresponsive in the West Ropes area at approximately 1pm.

Responders proceeded to perform CPR on Edwards but those attempts proved unsuccessful. He was later pronounced dead on the scene and an investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.
