When you are 106 years old and still making turns at your local resort, they tend to roll out the red carpet. Lou Batori has a reserved parking spot situated 100 feet from the main chair at Crystal Mountain in Northern Michigan. Its a well deserved privilege for Batori who started skiing at 10 years old in mountains in his native Hungary as reported by mlive.com. Batori was skiing for 16 years before he took his first chairlift in 1940.

If you ask Lou what his keys are to a long life, he will tell you it comes down to three important components:

“A good wife, only drinking the best quality liquor and picking your parents carefully.”

Wise words from Lou. You are an inspiration to us all and we wish you many more years of shredding the gnar!
