“Perfect scenario, perfect halfpipe, perfect weather, surrounded by competitors.”

Shaun White traveled to Korea to check out the venue for the Pyeongchang 2018 halfpipe event. He got in some practice runs on the newly built superpipe at the Bokwang/Phoenix Park resort and fully endorsed its quality. Shaun gets a lot of guff for his competitiveness and serious approach to a sport that celebrates style and unity, but you have to appreciate his determination and dedication in pursuit of victory.

I leave you with a pill that can be a bit hard to swallow for the uncompetitive from one of the greatest athletes of all time:

“Winning is hard. It takes years of hard work, mental toughness, and a willingness to accept the fact that you hate to lose.” -Michael Jordan
