32 year old Lindsey Vonn broke the news of her training injury on Instagram, posting a picture of her x-ray along with the explanation:
“I crashed while training in Copper and badly fractured my humerus. I had surgery in Vail last night and everyone took great care of me. I will work my hardest to be back on the slopes as soon as I can, as I always do.”
You don’t have to be Doogie Howser to see the screws and rods in her x-rays leading this WebMD to diagnose this as a bad break. The four-time overall World Cup champion was also sidelined last season after suffering breaks near her knee joint during a super-G crash in Andorra back in February.
We wish her the fastest possible recovery and hope to see her bak on the racecourse before season’s end.
P.S. that 3D x-ray is incredible (is that SOP when you break a bone these days?)
