Mt. Rose had announced that they would be opening on October 31 but warm temps have spoiled their plans.

Official Snow Report: Due to the recent warmer temps, Mt. Rose will not make it’s projected Oct 31 Opening date. Good forecast for wet weather and colder air. Mt. Rose will make snow at every possible opportunity that conditions permit. At 8260’, the high base elevation at Mt. Rose combined with our north and east facing slopes always gives us more opportunities to ramp up our snowmaking and achieve the maximum potential to blow and maintain snow.
