screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-11-35-25-am“Winter came in like a hurricane, literally. Winds are currently gusting in excess of 100 mph at the summit, which makes measurement difficult but there’s at least 1-2 feet up top with 4-6″ at main lodge.” Mt. Rose Spokesperson Tim LeRoy

Mt. Rose has announced its plan to open for operation on October 31st according to The LA Times.  The first snow storm in the area left the resort with 7-18 inches of accumulation and Mt. Rose is firing up the snow guns to ensure they will be the first resort in Tahoe to open.  Adult day passes go for $109, so if you want to ride in your costume start budgeting now!

Here’s a quick video of the snowfall from yesterday.
