Eddie Bauer‘s outerwear boasts one of the most storied histories in the entire retail market, so when we tested out the Telemetry Jacket and Pant during our week-long shred-sojourn to South America, we held high expectations.

First off I want to start this review by disclosing the fact that I’m a 6’5 guy whose frustration with ill fitting outerwear had reached a boiling point this past season. Thankfully, Eddie Bauer is one of the very few retailers offering tall sizing for the lanky likes of skiers everywhere. That said, small or tall, this kit is one of the best outerwear options this year.

Worn by the likes of Andy Mahre, KC Deane, and Drew Tabke, the jacket and pant kit hosts a freeride background unlike anything else in the Eddie Bauer snow sports line. As far as the fit is concerned, the jacket and pant both boast a relaxed fit without being overly steezy or too ski-mo. Instead, the Telemetry line features the best of both worlds.

“Great fit! Roomy enough for baselayers, filled with storage pockets. Quality craftsmanship. Heavy duty stitching, zippers and reinforcements. Jacket is a winner!”Dean From Minnesota

Also, a number of integrated features including a pocket goggle wipe, interior pocket leash for smart phones, as well as sealed and reinforced zippers, make this kit absolutely bomber. It should also be mentioned that the jacket and pant are integrated with a powder skirt attachment that keeps snow out of your cracks and pants– something we value highly.

“Wore [the pants] on a winter Search and Rescue training in the Sierra National Forest. I was warm and never got wet. Even with two additional feet of snow that fell, the built in gaiters kept the snow out of my boots. I bought one size bigger in order the layer up.”Squirrel From California

The shell itself is composed of Eddie Bauer’s proprietary WEATHEREDGE® PLUS material that is neither completely hard nor soft. Instead, the Nano-like shell is completely waterproof while incorporating a breathable material, keeping skiers dry and cool throughout the day.
