The 4th annual peaceful gathering of Tahoe cliff jumpers, slackliners, silkies and natures lovers that has come to be known as Emerald Poolooza has been cancelled amid threats of violence from locals according to the event’s official facebook page:
“My concern is not the attendees as much as some of these ignorant “locals” who have openly threatened violence despite being massively outnumbered when they come to kick our ass. So, for their safety, and our general welfare, EP4 will be rescheduled privately. Sorry for the inconvenience if you made plans to come have a great time. Stay tuned for new dates.”
The event originated as a yearly clean up party of Emerald Pools in Nevada City, CA and evolved into a eclectic mix of adrenaline seekers and nature lovers alike that all brought along a empty garbage bag to the party to leave this picturesque little slice of the Sierras cleaner than they found it. 
It is very discouraging that this once public event has to taken underground to avoid conflict with locals. As you can see last year’s event was incredible for everybody involved:
