VIDEO: Lifeguarding At “Break Neck Beach”…Infamously Dangerous Hawaiian Beach

YouTube Poster

“The best rescue we can do is on the sand.”

Some of the most important work the rescue professionals at Sandy Beach (aka Break Neck Beach) do is out of the water as the walk the sand and educate the public about the dangers of this abruptly shallow beach that experiences large surf without much warning.

You might not ever make it to this beach but as the weather warms up and we start to head out the lakes, oceans, river, quarries…..its important we know the dangers of our local swim spots before you get wet.

If you see someone unknowingly getting into a dangerous position at your local spot, give them a friendly heads up….the best rescue is the one you don’t have to make.
