Over the course of the last 10 days, Squaw Valley received 111″ of snow with 26″ of those inches coming in a 24 hour period!

Although reports are indicating that the snow was far from “blower,” the huge amount of cream cheese will ultimately give Squaw some great late season coverage. Also, with sun in the forecast, it looks like quality spring skiing in California is about to make its return after disappearing for the last four years.

“Squaw and Alpine picked up another 26 inches in the past 24 hours.  That brings the 4 day totals to 47-53 inches up top, and 10 day totals to 104-111 inches.  At the base 20-32 inches over the last 3 days.” Squaw Manager, Bryan Allegretto

So far forecasts are calling for a sunny end of March with the next storm possibly rolling into the area late in the month. Until then, it’s spring skiing for most of the Lake Tahoe resorts!

“Next Sunday there is a chance for weak storm to bring light snow and then again the following Tuesday.”– Bryan Allegretto
