Starting in the 2nd grade, most children start learning the state capitals. By 4th grade they have them mastered. However, traveling to each state capital– that’s a little overrated. For instance, who wants to hang out for a week in Cheyenne (Wyoming), Bismark (North Dakota), or Topeka (Kansas)?
