The New Jersey doctor who stands accused of assaulting a child following a collision between the boy and the man.
Dr. Samuel Caruthers, 44, pleaded not guilty today to aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
“Mr. Caruthers was run into by the 12-year-old snowboarder. He then went ahead and committed an assault on him,” Lt. Keith Kimkowki said, as reported by CBS2’s Meg Baker.

Caruthers allegedly punched the boy in the mouth and hit him with his ski pole. The boy was left with a bloody lip and nose as well as stomach and rib pain.
Police said Caruthers has been charged in the past with road rage. A crimincal conviction could affect Caruthers’ medical license.
