If you had any doubts about how tenacious a competitor Lindsey Vonn is, they should be put to rest after her post injury performance this weekend. Lindsey suffered a hairline fracture in her left knee after losing control on a soft patch of snow during a Super G run Saturday.

Lindsey posted a stomach churning video on facebook of her knee getting drained and commented,”the MRI shows a pretty substantial fracture in my tibia plateau. MCL looks decent as well as the rest of my knee. Now I will talk to my trainers and make a plan.”

After conferring with doctors and coaches, Lindsey decided to compete Sunday and took home a 13th in alpine combined earning points that extended her overall World Cup lead.
