A British teenager has passed away after falling while skiing at Méribel Ski Area in France. According to a report from The Mirror, the teenager was skiing on a blue run within the resort’s boundary when the fall happened. During the fall, the person “banged” their head. Just what the teenager banged their head on is unclear. The run, where the accident occurred, is designated as a “moderate” slope.
Rescue personnel arrived on the scene shortly after but were unable to revive the person in question. The teenager was pronounced dead on the slopes.

Almost two years ago Michael Schumacher was injured in a similar incident that involved brain trauma at Méribel. Schumacher was skiing with a helmet in an off-piste area that contained early season coverage, when he fell and hit his head on a rock. The Formula 1 Star is currently undergoing an intensive rehabilitation regiment but many medical professionals doubt he will make a full recovery.
