The PNW is absolutely butter right now.

Having received over 188″ of snow so far this season and with a base of 114″, Mt. Baker is just one of many of the Pacific Northwest resorts that are reveling in the fresh snow and astounding early start to the season. And that season is about to get even better this week as 1-3 feet is forecasted for Mt. Baker, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Mount Rainier just to name a few…

Base Totals For Washington Ski Areas

  1. Mt. Baker- 114″
  2. Snoqualmie-Alpental- 67″
  3. White Pass- 55″ (Opening TBA)
  4. Crystal Mountain- 53″
  5. Stevens Pass- 45″
  6. 49° North- 32″

NOAA is currently predicting Snowqualmie Pass to reap the highest snow totals out of this storm with Stevens Pass and Crystal falling just behind.

FRIDAY MORNING…

* TIMING…SNOW WILL DEVELOP FROM THE SOUTH WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
WILL LIKELY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT.
HEAVY SNOW MAY CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…1 TO 3 FEET.

* SNOW LEVELS…AROUND 1500 FEET WILL RISE TO 3000 FEET IN THE
NORTH CASCADES AND AROUND 6000 FEET AT MOUNT RAINIER LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT. SNOW LEVELS WILL REMAIN AT THE SURFACE IN THE
PASSES THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT. SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL BACK
TO AROUND 3000 FEET LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* MAIN IMPACT…TRAVEL INTO THE CASCADES OR ACROSS THE PASSES WILL
LIKELY BECOME DIFFICULT THURSDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT OR
FRIDAY.
