According to the JH News and Guide, a female snowboarder is dead after colliding with trees in the Moran area at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort yesterday.
According to reports, ski patrol was alerted to the incident around 3:24pm on Monday. They found the body just below the Togwotee Pass Traverse. The snowboarder was on the north side of the ski run in the trees.
In a statement, the president of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jerry Blann commented on the tragic accident saying, “The staff at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort join me in expressing our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim.”
Ski Patrol attempted to save the victims life but she was later declared deceased at the St. John’s clinic in Teton Village.
The victim has yet to be identified.
