Strong winds and snow levels ranging from 1,000 meters this weekend will rise to 2200 meters on Tuesday. Epic amounts of snowfall will be falling through the period. Much of this snow will provide heavy snowfall to the higher elevations of the Cascades. California will get additional snowfall on Sunday with perhaps a significant storm for the Sierra next Thursday! Decent moisture is also likely in the Wasatch and Tetons late next week. The models currently show significant amounts possible for the northern Rockies by Thursday/Friday.
