We are well into the 2014 -2015 ski season and the winners and losers are starting to take shape. This season has been particularly rough on the ski resorts of California, Oregon and eastern Washington. According to this map, the Tahoe region has only received 28% of their normal snow water equivalency.

The rest of the west is a mixed bag ranging from parched to saturated. Some areas of Utah had one of the driest Januarys on record while other parts of the state are at 131% of their normal snow water equivalency.
