6-year-old Liam Dudley was skiing with his family at Alyeska, Alaska when a snowboarder crashed into the boy smashing his helmet to bits. The blow left Liam with a gash on his head that required six staples, but if the boy was not wearing a helmet things could have been far worse.

“To think about what would have happened if he wasn’t wearing a helmet is pretty freaky,” said Matt Dudley, Liam’s father.
