Many resorts across the United States will be enjoying powder conditions this weekend. Ski areas in upstate New York and New England will be enjoying some of the best conditions of the season after a large winter storm dropped up to two feet of snow on mountain tops. Some of the biggest winners were Windham Mountain Resort, New York which picked up 26″ of new snowfall and Suicide Six, Vermont which is reporting 24″ of new snow. Snow will continue to fall in New England today with snow totals in the 1-6″ range.

Conditions will be freshened up in Sun Valley which is forecasted to receive 5-11″ of new snow over the weekend.

Following on the heals of the first major storm of the season, Tahoe is forecasted to see around 6-12″” of snow above 7,000 feet.  Snow levels should be around 5,000 to 6,000 feet with this storm.

Looking west, Jackson Hole could see as much as 36″ of new snowfall this weekend. The snow has already begun to fly and is forecasted to drop 11-19″ today, 11-19″ tomorrow and 5-9″ on Sunday.

The PNW will also be seeing some much needed white stuff this weekend. Mt. Hood could see as much as 64″ of new snow and the summit of Washington’s  Mt. Baker is forecasted to receive a whopping 112″ of new snow by Monday night.
