Following a massive winter storm that drop some 68″ of new snow, Squaw Valley is finally able to opening much of their famous terrain. Squaw has announced that they will be opening Granite Chief today for the first time all season before opening KT-22 and Headwall for the first time all season on Saturday.
The opening of the new terrain and chairlifts should make for a fantastic weekend but keep in mind that a good amount of terrain has been compromised due to large avalanches and debris fields.
Next door, at Alpine Meadows, Scott Chair is on the schedule tomorrow & Lakeview is scheduled for Friday, conditions permitting. – Alpine Meadows
