Cairngorm Mountain is wrapping up a great season and closing down their winter operations. The Scottish resort was trying to stay open until June but high temps have melted too much of their snowpack to stay opening.

“Due to the rapid snowloss over the last few days and a lot of bare ground appearing, we have decided to close for snowsports for the season. A very big thank you to all who have joined us this year, in making it another very successful season. However it is a short maintenance period for us and we have to get cracking on getting everything ready for next season.” – Cairngorm Mountain

It is being reported that the big winter has added £20.5m to the Scottish economy this past winter.
