A recent cold snap and subsequent snowfall has allowed locals and staff members of the South African ski resort of Tiffindell to put down the first turns of the season. The snow storm dropped as much as 20cm of snow a full month before the resorts scheduled opening.
Massive snow fall at Tiffindell covered the Ski Resort with 20 cm of fresh powder snow, giving some locals and Tiffindell staff members an opportunity to test the lifts and ski slopes. This also gave Tiffindell staff members a well deserved break from their duties of getting Tiffindell Ski Resort into top shape for the official opening in early June 2013. An exceptionally good 2013 ski season is predicted. Tiffindell Ski Resort is presently undergoing a fair amount of renovations and upgrading. – tiffindell.co.za
