Earlier today a court in France ruled that British tour companies are not allow to use ski hosts to show clients round French ski areas. We reported yesterday (French Court Set To Ban British Ski Hosts) that the French filed the motion to outlaw ‘Social Skiing’ because they believed that hosts where not correctly qualified and the practice is unsafe. This despite the fact that the ski hosts are not allowed to take people on black runs, venture off piste or provide instruction. Nevertheless, the court in Albertville ruled in favor of banning British ski hosts.

It has been reported that the British are not planning on appealing the case.
