The Denver Post is reporting that a group of 15 skiers were caught in an avalanche are Arapahoe Basin Ski Area yesterday. 

A group of 15 skiers managed to escape relatively unscathed after an avalanche overtook them Saturday afternoon at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Summit County.

An Arapahoe Basin ski patroller was leading a group of 14 skiers when a snow slide caught them at about 2:48 p.m. in west Montezuma Bowl, according to a statement released by the resort.

The area was closed to the general public, but the resort said that it had undergone “extensive” avalanche mitigation and explosive work in recent days.
