As part of the 2012 Whistler Telus Ski and Snowboard Festival, the Intersection film crew competition took off as usual and Mason Mashon and the Voleurz crew won first place and a $15,000 prize for their Art of Flight parody, The Science of Airborning.

Each team got a $1000 budget for the video which had to include: both skiers and snowboarders, 60 seconds to be filmed at Whistler Blackcomb consisting of 30 seconds in the park and 30 on inbounds terrain, and exactly 73% of the footage had to be on snow. Everything else had to be filmed within 100 kilometres of Whistler.

The event featured 6 of the best film crews in the area including Nuulife Cinema, Family Tree, Footy Fiend, Heart Films, and Capri Studios.
