The Palisades today at 7:45am

Squaw got about 2” of new snow during the day yesterday.  Some of that snow came after the resort closed.  I know, 2” doesn’t sound like much, but it’s the perfect amount for refreshing the Palisades.  When we get big storms, patrol has to bomb and below the Chimney and Palisades generally slide and leave a heinous crown to watch out for.  When we only get a few inches with wind, it buffs out perfectly and creates the best Chimney conditions found.

It’s gonna be a good morning.
