Precipitation will start as rain for valley areas Tuesday night, then changing to snow by Wednesday morning behind a cold front. A few inches of snow possible in the Sierra and areas north of a Susanville-Gerlach line. Thursday will be the coldest day this week with highs in the 40s for much of western Nevada and 30s in the Sierra Valleys.
