Squaw Fence
Thursday Morning 3/29

Temps at the higher elevations stayed cold last night and patrol has been blasting all morning! All of the lifts that count are scheduled to open this morning at 9:00 AM except for Emigrant which has been placed on wind hold. Silverado, Granite Chief, Headwall, and Siberia all look ready to go!

It’s breezy, cool, and a little grey bird early this morning but the clouds seem to be blowing through and there’s already some blue sky as of 8:30 AM. The snow up top should still be good!

Conditions at Squaw this Morning:

– Temperature at 8200 = 24 F with a high last night of 27 F (8:00 AM numbers)

– Wind on the upper is around 15 mph with gusts above 30 mph

– 14″ of new snow in the last 24 hrs on the upper mountain

– Temperature at the base is 32 F

– The upper mountain was closed yesterday and should be all fresh today

– Temperatures are expected to rise throughout the day, get out there while it’s still cold!
