No big dump to report on (except Heckler’s), but there were snow flurries throughout the day Monday and patrol is setting off charges all over the mountain this morning. The crowds were as low as the visibility yesterday and by the afternoon patches of blower filled in the nooks at Squaw. There’s bound to be some pow turns to be had up there today!

Conditions this Morning at Squaw:

– 4″ of new snow on the upper mountain in the last 24 hrs. 9″ storm total

– 3″ of new snow at the base

– Scattered clouds with good visibility

– 23 deg. F at 8200 ft. 32 deg. F at 6200 ft. (8:00 am temps)

– Winds today around 20 mph out of the South on the upper mountain

– Scattered showers today after 11:00 am, snow level 6300 ft.

Another moderate system will be rolling into Tahoe this afternoon. Forecasters are calling for the possibility of 8-12 inches tonight and 3-7 inches throughout the day Wednesday. Snow levels will rise with warmer temps as Friday’s storm approaches but a cold front on Saturday will knock them back down to lake level and we could see several more inches before the week is out.
