Beaver Creek Colorado – The fourth annual Love for the ladies team park jam took place today in perfect conditions, sunny with not a cloud in the sky and 55 degree’s, It was a beautiful day to get your jib on for a great cause.
A team format requiring at least one lady competitor per team of three to enter with prizes for the most money raised, which was three epic passes donated by Vail resorts, best costumes, and overall winners of the actual contest.
The Love for the ladies is the brainchild of local Justine Nadherny as a tribute to her mother who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, and it has grown by leaps and bounds the last four years. Today the local shred community came together to raise 18,000 dollars for breast cancer research adding to the 34,000 raised the previous three years.
The competitors threw down for a festive crowd and a great time, was had by all for a great cause. The event organizer Rich Staats revealed he raised today’s sum with a budget of $300, and it just goes to show how much can be done with some love for your fellow man or in this case, woman if you are only willing to try. Rich and Justine and all the participants and contributor’s deserve a pat on the back!
