That new snow in Tahoe today was sweet.  But, it ain’t gon be here long.  95-110 mph NorthEast Winds are forecasted tonight on the Pacific Crest.

East winds are notorious in Tahoe for stripping our ski resorts of snow immediately following storms.  Tonight and tomorrow will be absolutely brutal.  We just can’t catch a break this year, huh?

NOAA.gov:

UPDATED at 3:45 PM: A lake wind advisory is in effect for Lake Tahoe through 4pm Wednesday for strong north to northeast winds. Sierra ridge winds will increase tonight to between 95 and 110 mph. Accordingly, lake winds will shift to the north and northeast increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph tonight.

As for the lake, let’s just say, if you ain’t surfin’ stay off that baby.  3-5 foot waves will be rocking the lake tomorrow.

“Boats will be prone to capsizing and should remain off the lake until conditions improve.” – Noaa.gov

What do you guys think, is this season just straight up cursed?
