1. It’s all relative. I had a guy from New Jersey, who had never skied outside the state, tell me on Gold Coast that today was the greatest day of his ski career. Skiing at Squaw compared to Camelback, New Jersey. Squaw Wins!
2. Sun Bowl to CII via Reverse Traverse is hands down the best skiing on the mountain.
3. Groomer skiing gets a B+ rating. I got to give it to the snow machine operators. They have been doing a hell of a job keeping the trails buffed out.
4. NO “real” Park or Half-Pipe is Open.
5. West Face Opened Today. When I asked a ski patroller how it was he replied “Well….. It’s Open.”
6. Granite has deep moguls from top to bottom. Break It Out is holding some of the best snow on the hill. It feels like your skiing sugar on styrofoam.
7. Shirley groomers are fun, but let’s get real. It’s mid February and we would all like to be skiing something other than Shirley Lake.
