Winning the Freeride World Tour in Chamonix is no small accomplishment. When you’re from Squaw and you win in Chamonix, it’s that much bigger. If you’re from Squaw, you know what I’m talking about. Many places you go in the world, people kinda giggle and think it’s cute that you’re a Squaw-ite. Squallywood has a funky reputation in the big ski destinations on Earth and Chamonix is no exception.
Jackie silenced those giggles when she won the Chamonix Freeride World Tour stop today.
“I chose a line that suited my style and everything went as planned with two airs high on the face and another towards the end. I’m really looking forward to the next contest in Norway.” – Jackie Paaso
Jackie has competed on the Freeride World Tour since 2010 when she won the Squaw Valley stop and ended up 3rd place overall.
Last season, 2011, Jackie won the Rodal, Norway stop and ended up 6th overall.
