Did you hear it? Just before 8:00 AM… the sweet sound of high explosives detonating on the mountainside. Yes! It actually snowed! Snow levels began to drop around 11:00 last night and were down to lake level by 1:00 AM or so.

Wow… it rained a lot last night… but we finally got some snow!

Snow accumulation reported by Tahoe Resorts: 

Mt. Rose:

  • 15 – 21″

Heavenly Ski Resort:

  • 12″

Boreal:

  • 8 – 12″

Sugar Bowl:

  • 4″ at the base
  • 11″ at the peak

Squaw Valley:

  • 3″ at 6200
  • 6″ at 8200

Kirkwood:

  • 5 – 9″

Northstar:

  • 2″ at midmountain
  • 8″ at the peak

Diamond Peak:

  • 6″

So, who still has summer tires on their car? Anyone? Bueller?
