If variety is the spice of life, Whistler Blackcomb is one Spicy F-ing Meatball right now. Epic re-crystalized powder, bulletproof ice, perfect groomers, long glacier adventures, refrozen death-cunder, moguls, a damn fun park, and village beer. Okay, beer isn’t a condition, but it helps all the other conditions remarkably.
Where’s the pow? Lakeside off 7th Heaven.
Perfect groomer? Ridge Run at Blackcomb.
If you know where to look, you can have a damn good time at Whis right now especially when you know it’s better than most all the lower 48. The approach to get to the pow on Lakeside is brutal refrozen ice, but it’s worth it. The groomers are crazy long and fun. The glacier is open and is fun little adventure run. The park at Blackcomb is small, perfect, and fun. A little of all four adds up to a good time.
The forecast is still looking pretty dry in the 7 day. But the base isn’t going anywhere right now, so once some snow comes this way, it’s gonna be back to full-on quick.
