Once upon a time (in 1991), the first ever Extreme Skiing Competition went down in Valdez, AK. Glenn Plake, Scot Schmidt, & Mike Hattrup were the judges and the conditions, per usual, were pretty lousy.
This is an interesting look back into the world of freeskiing in 1991. And it’s funny to see what a goofy spokesperson freeskiing had back then: Mike Hattrup.
