Manu rippin’ down Paraiso in Las Leñas, Argentina on July 31st, 2011.
All photos & words by our buddy Nick who is chillin’ down in Las Lenas rippin’ around with his Swiss buddies Manu & Dani right now:
Conditions in LL have much improved! Marte opened up a few days ago following the new snow, and the powder has gone from deep and fluffy to wind affected, but still super enjoyable!
Cerro Martin and Entre Rios have a few dozen lines on them now, and everyone here is enjoying the stoke. Still there are a lot of rocks underneath the new snow (huge gouges in the planks), but the lift lines are non-existent and the steep snow is all very stable, as of yesterday.
We got a sweet line called La Banana off Cerro Martin and enjoyed the 45 degree crux that was almost exactly 2 m wide… just enough to fit the length of our longest skis with a few cm to spare.
