As any backpacker knows, when it comes to sleeping bags, two things matter: warmth and weight. Okay, and, if you're frugal, price as well. The Superlight sleeping bag from The North Face has all three of these areas covered. Weighing in at just over three pounds, the Superlight doesn't add on too much to your pack weight, while still packing the warmth you need. I've used this during every season, and have yet to be cold in it. Although, obviously if you're planning a trip to the Arctic Gnar respect the 0F Gear Review- The North Face Superlight Sleeping Bag | Unofficial Networks

Gear Review- The North Face Superlight Sleeping Bag

As any backpacker knows, when it comes to sleeping bags, two things matter: warmth and weight. Okay, and, if you’re frugal, price as well. The Superlight sleeping bag from The North Face has all three of these areas covered. Weighing in at just over three pounds, the Superlight doesn’t add on too much to your pack weight, while still packing the warmth you need. I’ve used this bag during every season, and have yet to be cold in it. Although,  if you’re planning a trip to the Arctic Gnar respect the 0F rating and plan accordingly. The bag can be compressed into about an 8″x8″ ball, or smaller, so it easily fits into a traditional backpack or even a smaller day pack (I think I’ve squeezed it inside a 29L pack.) At around $300 it’s not a real steal, but it’s easily worth it. It’s an essential part of my camping quiver- be it backpacking, car camping, yurting or snow camping- and I never have to think twice about weight or warmth.
