Built in 1986, the quad was once a top of the line and state of the art lift, but in recent years the iconic quad at Stowe Mountain Resort has been dealing with numerous issues that have caused it to be shut down quite frequently. And so, Stowe will start construction on a new quad this summer and it should be ready for the 2011/2012 season. This is great news for skiers and riders of Stowe as we can all agree that without the quad running, much of the amazing terrain that Stowe is known for was inaccessible.
