Three unpolished athletes, and their dog companion, decide to take their own route and embark on a road trip and backcountry ski journey to Haines, AK. While pursuing their goals along this pilgrimage, twists of nature and fate deal them loss, struggle, and surprise. AK the Hard Way paints an intimate portrait of how dreams, expectations, and realities can diverge in the raw exposure to life´s adventure.
