If you want a comfortable snowboard boot that has great support and it not super stiff, look no further.  The Ion will resist as you lean into it, but does not feel like a ski boot.  It is perfect for a rider that wants to ride anywhere at anytime.  With heat mold at purchase, they will still be comfortable to hit the dance floor at apres on the first day.  Also, the ease of the lacing system has taken away the pain of tying up the laces.  With three tugs on cords, the boots can tighten up tighter than any bunny ears could ever get a boot.

The downfall to this boot is how quickly it breaks down.  For hard riders, the support can be lacking by mid season.  The Ion will still be comfortable, but the performance will not be there.  But I haven’t any boot that will hold it’s support for the whole season.  Might as ride in the most comfortable one.
