This week, it’s all about SnowFest. SnowFest is going on from March 4th until March 13th and it’s non-stop. The amount of events going on with this is insane and it’s best to simply go to the SnowFest Website Events Page, methinks. Below I’ve highlighted the best of the Snowfest events for the week.
Friday, March 4 – Opening Night Ceremonies & Torchlight Parade at Squaw Valley. Laser show, torchlight parade, and fireworks display. Live DJ music with the “Space Cowboys” & the strange music selections of the “Unimog” on the outside KT-22 deck. Fireworks just after dark.
Friday, March 4 – Hot Dog 80’s Retro Party at Cornice Cantina. 9pm-12am. Dress in 80’s attire and put enough C2H5OH in your body that you think you’re actually an tight pants, bulging crotch struting 80’s Hot Dog stunt double.
Saturday, March 5 – SnowFest Parade in Tahoe City. 11:30am. This parade is always interesting and will be even more so in the rain! Kids do love this thing, tho, so bring ‘em out and dress ‘em up.
Saturday, March 5 – DJ Party at Lakeside. 9am-?. The Space Cowboys will be DJing. Potentially some dancing and potentially a damn good time as the rain will allow people to sleep in on sunday.
Sunday, March 6 – Taco Night at Jake’s. 4:30pm-9pm. $3.50 fish, beef, veggie, pork, or chicken tacos. Sounds like a good deal.
